Turning the Corner

Larry’s Corner began with a simple, urgent need: "where do I find a hot meal and a safe space?"

In the wake of devastating storms which left the community shaken, Larry Gray took action. Without power, he fired up his grill and began feeding the community, no questions asked except, "would you like a plate?"

What started with one man and a grill has grown into a nonprofit dedicated not only to combating hunger, but to creating a space where everyone is welcome. At Larry’s Corner, a meal is never just a meal. It’s an open door, a shared table, a moment of dignity and connection. Here, strangers become neighbors, and neighbors become community. Together, we are turning the corner. We are moving beyond division and scarcity toward something fuller: hope, belonging, and the belief that when we come together, even the smallest act of care can grow into something lasting.

" . . . and who is my neighbor?" (Luke 10:29)

Never underestimate small kindnesses.

We never aimed to change the world, but every day we see the big effects of small gestures. Your contribution helps the community in a multitude of ways big and small, bringing together people who might never share a table, serving thousands of meals, and creating a pocket of calm where it is needed most.

With your support we can extend our reach, offering better and broader services to ensure that everyone has a seat at the table.
